Are Men Ever Faithful?
Q: I was on vacation this weekend with a girlfriend, Shirley, in Baja Mexico. After a 4 hour nap, my girlfriend and I had dinner with a charming 80 yr. old who calls his wife his ‘bride’ and his ‘girl friend’. Totally great evening! When he walked us home, he kissed Shirley several times and asked me to leave while they basically made out. Ummmmmm, this is my biggest fear about marriage! Gross! Are men ever faithful?
A: Yes, yes, yes! Men are faithful! Granted, that is not an across the board guarantee. It depends on the character of the individual.
In addition, in relationships we all have needs that our partners must meet in order to maintain a happy and healthy status quo. If you’re not fulfilling his needs, and I don’t mean in the bedroom, I’m talking about his need to feel like a MAN, your MAN, the man you admire, appreciate, trust, and accept.
It is important to love your partner in the way that makes him actually FEEL loved. Pretty simple concept.
You might have to do a little digging but a good rule of thumb is to trust, accept and appreciate him. Admire and appreciate him for what he does rather than focusing on his few shortcomings!
As women unfortunately, sometimes, we spend more time focusing on what he does wrong rather than what he’s doing right!
On the subject of appearances, appearances are just that, appearances.
Even though Casanova spoke of his wife in such appreciative terms, you don’t really know what their relationship is like. She wasn’t even there!
In fact, he probably knows that a faithful man is more attractive to a woman, so he could have been actually been playing for your friend’s affection! Unbelievable, huh? The worm!
BOTTOM LINE:
- Yes, men are faithful.
- Don’t fear, be joyful and appreciative in your relationship.
- Make sure to love your man like he wants you to; if you are unsure, ask him!
